A peek into my life.

A peek into my life.

You probably don’t know this, but I write these posts from the Dell Children’s Rehabilitation Center waiting room.

Every Thursday morning, I bring my 3 year old daughter Paige to Speech Therapy & Occupational Therapy, each one hour during the work day.

It’s a strange way to work, in a waiting room surrounded by hospital sounds.

We see some of the same kids each week - sometimes we celebrate the wins with other families. Sometimes we see the exhaustion of parents of special needs kids spill over in unkind ways to their kids.

They call Paige’s name & I walk her back to the room, then back to the waiting room to pull out my laptop.

Answering emails.

Trying to dream for Spring.

Running payroll.

Many weeks this feels frustrating.

My workday is already truncated to school hours as I try to find the right balance of work & family for me. I’m so passionate about the work we’re doing at Purse & Clutch. Our growth this year has been incredible & as such I never quite have enough time to finish all the things I’m dreaming of doing.

But some weeks, like this week, I find myself so very grateful.

Grateful that I get to have both a fulfilling job & get to be swept up in the day to day craziness of my daughters.

Grateful that Paige is getting such good care & is progressing so well.

Grateful that Purse & Clutch has an amazing community of people who help hold it up & push it forward when I’m turning my attention to my family.

I hope that during our Thank You Sale last week + our Thank You Gifts that you felt that gratefulness.

Thank you for being part of this dream of mine to support fair wages for artisans around the world. Our impact is only growing!

I turn 40 in a few weeks. And without giving too much away, just know that in my next newsletter in two weeks, I’m going to announce how I’ll be celebrating with you so be on the lookout!
